Day 02by james_soComment: Great wrapping light, I always have a problem with how my hair looks when I try this setup, may have to do one like this to see if I can get it to look good. I do wish your eyes were just a tad brighter, not a lot but just a bump would help I think. |

May_Day_1by sempermarineComment: Remote? Whats that lol. I only ever use manual focus and a timer but have been wanting to get a remote. I found a great trick for using the focus and timer, I have an old cheap light stand and a prop plastic skull that I setup to be at my eye level in the shot then I focus on it and switch to manual and just replace myself with the prop. Oh great shot by the way, very nice processing. Only thing I would suggest is to maybe duplicate the layer and set it on multiply and use that just on the red bandanna, as is it seems just a tad to bright. Can't wait to see more of your stuff. |

Day 01by james_soComment: Love the lighting here my only suggestions are that the crop could be a bit stronger, right now the left side seems a bit crowded and almost awkward and the other is the color cast. I am viewing this on my work computer so it may just be the screen but there seems to be just a small bit of a blue color cast in the whites of your eyes and the tattoo seems just a bit on the saturated side. Great start to the SC. |

May01by MarkBComment: To add to the previous comments you don't want the shadow from your nose to merge with the shadow on the other side of your face, a different angle or a fill light would help with that. Also don't be scared to throw some emotion in the shot, you kind of look like a deer in head lights. No one is going to make fun of you in a mean way and if you let your inhibitions go you will be surprised at the emotion you can add into your shots. One last suggestion is that your light source is very small (from looking at the catch lights in your eyes) an easy fix for this is instead of pointing your speedlite directly at yourself, turn it and bounce it off a large wall or something similar. Look forward to seeing more of your work. |

IMG_4124by GilesComment: I like this. Dark and moody and you controlled the light nicely. My nitpicks are while I like the negative space it feels off balance, perhaps a square crop with you centered? I think this may be one of those shots that looks well centered. I also would like just a bit more light in the eye but with the mood I'm not real sure that is necessary. Great first shot, look forward to seeing more. |

Cosmic-Kingby RobskiComment: Quite surprised this didn't finish much higher. It is a sharp well done shot and a bit different. Better imho, then many of those above it. |
