The Break by donjamesComment: Nice shot. I would of liked a bit more detail on the face though. |

Sweet memories of my Wifeby Mark1966Comment: I think this was a good idea and really has potential to be a great shot. I love how you kept the shadows as part of the photo. The problems I see are that the main subject doesn't seem in focus, maybe using a higher f-stop would help that. Also the background is very dull. I simple white poster board woould help to add contrast and make it pop a bit more. |

Water Shadowby ElisiumComment: I like the idea of the shadow but I think your biggest problem here is going to be the size. You really should make use of the 800 pixels allowed. This is just too small to be able to judge it well and I think a lot of voters are going to hit you with 1's and 2's quickly just because of the size. This may help except the link was when the max was 640 and it is now 800 but that is the only difference. Hope this helps and good luck. |

Hardenedby aprudhommeComment: My first impressions were that I really like this pose and wow his eyes seem really white.
Composition: I really like this pose and it seems to work well for this shot, however I think this may work better if you cropped a little more off the top so that the eyes are on one of the thirds. Also not sure how well the barb wire works with this, I kinda like the feel it adds but I don't like how the lines compete. Maybe if the barb wire was horizontal or if you framed the shot on both sides with the wire, that may work better.
Lighting: I like the lighting on this and feel it is done well.
Artistic feel: Very nice, it definitely has a good artistic feel to it.
Processing: In my opinion the processing takes away from this shot. The eyes seem far too white and the skin almost plastic. I think this would look nicer if the eyes looked more natural.
Overall: Good job. I like the feel you have with this shot and just keep at it and you will have some amazing portraits. |

King of the Hillby LeoComment: I think you did a great job setting this up. It looks good and is well lit. But, I don't like the light behind the boots. still a 7 imho. |

Tonya & Codyby JokersSoulComment: I like how the tree branches lead you into the center of the photo and you didn't have any weird objects protruding from their heads. A fill flash or reflector would really make this photo pop as it is backlit and you loose a lot of detail on the people. One last thing I would suggest is to shoot early in the morning or late afternoon as the light is much better. The sun looks like it may have been quite high during this shoot. Take this for what it is worth as I am no expert. |
