Long Exposure of a Waterfall by AllenPComment: Originally posted by DrAchoo: Great shot! Going to be there in August. Excited!!! |
That is great, Doc! I'm sure you will love it. My stay here has been much longer that I thought it would be mainly because I can't get over the beauty in this area. IMHO, Grant Teton blows Yellowstone out of the water by a mile. Of course, it's not really fair to compare the two. YS is known for its geysers and hydrothermal activities while GT for its breathtaking mountains and sceneries. |

Thanks you for the correction! Yes, I meant to say "Lower Falls". |

When We're Gone...by AlynComment: The tones are so peaceful in this. I am using the word peaceful in a photograph that has an axe in it so in a way it is an oxymoron. Should have done much better. A wonderful image! |

Six Days On The Road -- by Dave Dudleyby AllenPComment: Originally posted by blindjustice: HDR oversaturated madness- I love it- huge depth/ |
Not an HDR and no tone-mapping done either ... just a single shot. It is the early morning soft directional light that has brought all the colors and textures out. I actually had to lower the saturation of the original image a bit. |

Actually the first time was in 2007 in Still Life With Motion challenge. ;) |
Thank you for the correction! Posthumous and I looked and looked but couldn't find another one. Congrats to you on being the 1st! |

January by AllenPComment: Originally posted by olbol: That must be some altitude to be so snowy in mid-June. What's the nearest town to this area? |
It's in Grand Teton National Park, so the elevation is pretty high. They have gotten more snow this year than any other year over the past 30 years. Jackson, Wyoming is the closest town to it. It was taken on June 7. Message edited by author 2011-06-20 21:24:59. |

Gift of the beesby IreneMComment: I don't know why I think of the word "classy" when I look at this shot. Maybe because it was taken by you ... a classy lady! |
