 Still frigid cold up near the Tetons so this image should remind the folks in the Northern Hemisphere of January.

Three consecutive ribbons - must be some sort of a record. I helped - well sort of - and anyway didn't hurt. Beautiful shot of a favorite place but it's a couple thousand miles from home.

It's in Grand Teton National Park, so the elevation is pretty high. They have gotten more snow this year than any other year over the past 30 years. Jackson, Wyoming is the closest town to it. It was taken on June 7.

That must be some altitude to be so snowy in mid-June. What's the nearest town to this area?

Makes me cold looking at this!! I never would have guessed it as a statue until art said something -- but now it's pretty obvious. :P
