The Sun Also Risesby MarfunComment: WOW. Beautiful image - simply stunning reflection, fog, sun, everything. This is great.
Unfortunately, it's also a bit too literal for me, and I think it misses the mark a bit for suitability.
Still... How could I not give this a... Shit, there isn't a 6.5 vote is there? ... Flip a coin... 7. ;) |

A la recherche du temps perdu - Marcel Proustby mariucaComment: While I don't know that it speaks directly to any part of this novel, I think it does a good enough job of evoking the feeling of the novel.
Frankly, I like this a lot, it's mundane, but well shot and processed, such that something which is otherwise uninteresting now has meaning and interest.

Fahrenheit 451by hopefulcrafty1Comment: Excellent novel, and this does capture it well.
I think the truth is that loose pages burn better, but they also make for a kinda cluttered and messy composition.
I think the color of the light on the pages could have been a bit more blue.
With that being said? yep.. very nice. :)

To the Lighthouse: Virginia Woolfby vikasComment: Very literal. But quite well shot. And unlike many of the other over-literal images, this at least is from a novel that would otherwise be really difficult to find some other concept for shooting, and the lighthouse does after all play a key role in the story.
A bit soft overall, and a bit too much saturation. 7 |

Blindness - José Saramagoby Alex_PetriniComment: I love it. You didn't really capture the darkness of the novel, but you did get the blindness right.
If she only looked scared and miserable this would be a 9 or 10.
As it is? you get an 8 |

The House of the Seven Gablesby vawendyComment: A scene directly from the novel..
Everything here is simply fantastic. While I don't see a strong story here, I do really like the image simply on visual merit and applicability to challenge topic.
9 for you. Well done. |

Fahrenheit 451 By Ray Bradburyby BrennanOBComment: Excellent. Obviously evokes the novel very strongly.
Well shot too, and while I'm tempted to nit-pick the over-sharp flames, this is so good that I can't bring myself to do so.
