Old Redby acg83Comment: Very red, but I don't see a phone! :)
Really a shame that these have nearly all been relegated to art installation status.. But you've done a nice selective desat here that really draws the eyes to the box. |

Stuckby ttreitComment: Deep rich blacks and bright whites, good processing here.
So, why the heck is bird written on the receiver? That's odd, but a very pleasant detail. Apparently people in Washington are a little nicer to their payphones, this thing looks like it might actually work. |

One down, one to goby agrimaceComment: Indeed.. I'm sure it will be gone soon enough as well.. :(
Nice photo, I really like the location and feel, but I do wish you had rotated this just a bit CCW.. |

"Where Time Stands Still"by digitaldaveComment: What an odd location, hopefully there's more about this place in your notes!
I love the whole phone as a phonebook thing, it's pretty reminiscent of what I saw when these things were common (and I still used them...) |

"Ma Bell" Didn't Age Wellby browda1Comment: No she did not.. And it turned out that the babies were more evil than Ma... :)
So, wow! What a great weathered box, love the fact that it's mostly unbroken and largely intact, while still being horribly weathered and beaten.
Not sure about your crop here, but I'm going to assume you had good reason. |

nightboxby westy10Comment: Interesting box! I'd love to score this super high, because the mood here is pretty darn cool, but I've got to admit, that noise is going to have to cost a couple of points, still, thanks for sharing, it's a very interesting tele! |

Owl Bar and Cafeby rajronComment: A local huh? :) This place is about 10 minutes from my house, and they do make one of the best (and fastest) burgers you'll ever eat.
I assume you must have been enjoying the Bosque Del Apache? It also looks like this was taken on a Sunday, as they're normally packed all day long :)
So, as for the picture? Not bad! I like the sepia treatment, but I'm almost sad that it wasn't a night shot with the blinking yellow light over the intersection, as that's been a shot I've wanted to take for a while now... |

Back Alley Boxesby leavyfaceComment: Nice phones! I like how different each is from the other, and the generally wonderful location. You have done an excellent job with this, and you've clearly found a great set of phones! |

Phone Noire...by NikonJebComment: Excellent mood shot, I'm almost scared for her safety. Of course, this is how we used to go about making a call when out and about, but it just seems so ill advised. :) |
