Comment:
The central wavy floor/ground is very chaotic to the rest of the image details. That high contrast with the waves VS the bold square lines and forms of the buildings compete almost equally with each other. From this POV, the waves overtake the image even though it seems to be a very balanced comp. Interesting design choice for the area.

Sort of need to imagine the nostrils as being the eyes of the creature. Then it becomes a horse of a different color.

Very good B&W. I like the high contrast. The natural light on the face is perfect and presents a main focal point very well.

I agree this is far better version. Nice improvements. I for one however do not have any real world advice to offer. Stills are still on my try to get better list. Right now, I am horrible at stills.

The all seeing eye does make this shot special. The movement tells us this person is rushing to make another connection or some other deadline. The colorful noise in her head area even adds to the story.

Gosh, you did a great job of capturing the intense emotions of the moment. What a great sports shot should look like! Well done.

I carry only my M9 with one lens when I go on shoots downtown, no camera bag. It forces me to see compositions I would not normally pay attention to. Plus, it really helps to "get to know" that lens better. Each one has their own qualities. I am reinforcing what others have already stated, the precise DOF comp on the colorful leaves with the muted BG make this shot a keeper. Nice work.

I like that you captured her with nest building material in her beak. Since she was leaving the nest, maybe she didn't like that piece of grass? Even at 1/1250 there is still significant motion. I would have thought you would end up with more frozen action. Congrats on following her and getting this capture!

Yes, I am curious too. This might qualify for the current picture in a picture challenge. Color is the way to go.

Laughing, gotta love getting a different lens than you thought you bought! Seems to have worked out nice for you though.
