Brothers Do Shareby denboteComment: The expressions on the faces of these two brothers makes this a superb photograph. While you can tell that these two are not rich in money, they make up for it in with richness of the Heart. Beautifully captured interaction. |

Pure Bliss by RompyComment: A young couple, happy & oblivious in their affection for one another, surrounded by the Christmas hustle & bustle of the Big City that never sleeps. There is a vibrant, delightful, kinetic energy about this which gladdens the Heart and the newfallen snow adds to the feeling. The Lion King looks on & Pepsi wishes them a Good & Happy 2010.
Huzzah, a keeper! |

Puppy Loveby CrazyDiamondComment: The little one sleeps and the larger one cuddles, keeps warm and watches out, protecting. There is both a purity and rarity in this kind of honest Love. I like this a lot - the colours, the textures, the thought. |

Covered bridge to...nowhere.by wetlandComment: I looked at this for a long time because it struck me as odd that here we have a covered bridge, clearly in dishevelment with no apparent means of access to getting on it from either side. I found myself wondering why this would be so then wondered if it is simply meant to be a type of monument to a progress which all too often leaves the grand past behind as seemingly irrelevant to that which it passes by. Perhaps it is about simple change - what was, what is now - left to cause one to slow down a bit and ponder. Thoughtful & quite curious capture, a definite stand-out. |

Skeletonsby glad2badadComment: I love how the manmade chimney and the natural tree echo each other as skeletons now, remnants of antiquity which once were mighty but have now become different, quieter ghosts of their former selves. They are still holding on and there is a magnificence and life lesson in that quiet strength. The natural frame of the consistent grass without definition and the backdrop of the late Autumn almost blended together trees add notes to this as well and create that sense of moody isolation. It is almost as if the tree is reaching out to touch the chimney, recognising their sad commonality and kinmanship. I think your photograph is beautiful. |

Pink Carby justineComment: How out of place this pink shell car looks in the peaceful deep snowy landscape and yet the eye is drawn in to it at once. I do love this juxtaposition of opposites. |

The Forgotten Onesby eye-spyComment: This is absolutely superb in provoking emotional response. It represents decay in the rural environment but could also be interpreted as decay in an urban environment and even on other levels besides that. It struck me immediately as almost eerie, especially with the slipped right eye, the blind left one and the snow kiss on the mouth - the plant bit touched with snow is almost evocative of a tear. The tones in the face and the combination of dirt and innocense are quite disconcerting. WELL DONE. |

from here to eternityby chaliceComment: Emerald turquoise water with a gentle tide coming in on a peaceful sandy beach cove highlighted by the lapping of the wavelets. The two tone brown gold patterns are a nice warm touch, and the shadows and silhouette of the enclasping rocks is enhanced further by the blown but even-white sky, which echoes the salt spray mist and provides a clear colour delineating contrast. I'd like to be here watching the ocean. |

Seaside Serenadeby ScholtenComment: This is peaceful, even the little tidepools are reflecting the clouds lit by the sunstar and the incoming waves are edgelit so that they sparkle like gold. The cloud shapes are echoing the rock formations, jagged, uneven, forming a spit of land holding fast against the sea. Superbly done. |
