This is a very good image. Focus is excellent.

(I was thinking of doing something like this myself but couldnt get anyone to sit for me.)
Your model has a very lovely eye
Although the light reflection in her eye is a bit over powering and stands out quite a bit

Personally I can't see a lot wrong with your image except In my opinion you could have focused on the eye alone and left the brow out it has good enough focus for that. A really nice Macro

I think maybe the title is a little strange for a CD Album cover and the font used is not the greatest and that is what let you down

There were a lot of very good images in this challenge
Your score was very good and nothing to be ashamed of I think you met the challenge very nicely

This is a very good image and Idea for a C D album cover and very nicely done
Colours, detail, lighting, focus and title all really well done

I agree with one voter that the wording should not be white but maybe a colour (maybe gold ) taken from the image to tone in nicely

I think D P C voters obviously liked your image because you have a very decent score. It competed well with the others but there were a lot of very impressive entries in this challenge.

One Favorite Sneaker

It seem you have got me twice tonight I hope that you won't mind too much

This is a good choice for Everyday Objects
But the background looks very white which in turn gives a very sort of one dimentional look to the shoe
This may have been better to tone down the shoe and place it on a dark blue background or even with some Denim Jeans
IMHO this is a good idea but for some reason just doesn't really work
(I have plenty of those moments) LOL! I also find the D P C voters are not all that great on Digital manipulation for some reason

You say you were desperate but you have done a lovely job on this.
It shows a lot of thought. (Your mother is a very beautiful lady. What georgous eyes she has!) and yes, your Dad is very handsome also
I like the feel of this and looking at your comments I am not the only one.
The text looks alright to me it almost looks like embroidery which adds to the old sort of look
I am not very technical and I agree with you that photographs are very hard to photograph but you have done an excellent job with this
Your score is a very decent one and I myself think it should be higher
There were a lot of excellent entries, and this is up there with the best IMHO. The only small picky bit would be the little bit of harsh light middle top.

I like the silhouette look but to me the white is a bit stark
I agree with the voter who says the straw should face inwards

You score is good but I guess you would have liked better (wouldnt we all) I cannot be much help as to why it didn't score higher

Congratulations on your fabulous image. I am supposed to critique your image and with an image like yours it is a very hard job for me to find any faults. The only one I can possibly think of is there are not enough chocolates. Ha ha

I cant say if I saw this image on a C D that it would invite me to buy it but as usual a brilliant shot and I can only stand in awe.
I just seem to be getting worse and I really am trying.

This is a very nice image, but I think your score suffered from the fact that this type of image has been used before. Not original in itself although you have used sheet music instead of a book but first glance voters would not notice that ( In my opinion)
Lighting at the top of the page seems too bright and this may be helped by lowering your mid tonal values.

Apart from the top third which is soft but that could be intentional
It has very good focus and colour
The image fits the challenge
Almost got the score you wanted and maybe like I said before if this had been the first time with this type of image it would have done better
So enjoy your photography
