Father Cainby JoaniePComment: Shot's good, well composed, has lots to look at, but perhaps needs a bit more contrast and sat in PP. I'm not judging (you or your congregation). The depiction shows how ostentatious (branches of) the church in many ways has become. The priest and preceedings are faaaar away from the congregation. The enormous mural of Christ is overbearing. I prefer closer accessible places of worship. |

gathering place for the religious ~1200 A.D.by TrollManComment: Great comp. Almost HDR'like. Great sky and sky reflection in the attic window. Subtle shade on the wall. Green's in the grass covered by late afternoon/early morning shade. All in all a pleasing photo. |

Miss You Muchby gsalComment: Looks like a German gravestone not that that has anything to do with the price of eggs! I like the composition and the B and W adds mood to the take, but the focus imho should be on the pidgeon's head not his arse tail feathers :) |

Densityby BackpackRComment: Creative, colourful, sharp, interesting. Just not liking what looks like a curtain above glass. |

FeCr2O4 by pjd101Comment: Interesting shot, unique. Looks like Cola :) Nice splash effect. Unusual B and W PP. Higher marks also for effort in research and OOB title.
Useless info of the day:
Chromite is a mineral, not a liquid as you no doubt know. Once it is smelted/leeched, it is in 'liquid' form but then its glowing gold in colour and is primarily used in the making of (stainless) steel. The biggest single producer is South Africa @ 44% of global output (6.5 Million Metric Tons per year). The closest mines are less than 2 hours drive from me in the enormous Bushveld Igneous Complex. |
