Lovely work. The flare adds to the image in the spirit of the challenge. It is neither a star burst flare nor an 5-6-7-8-9 sided aperture flare.

Superb effort to curb the usual haze as seen on many other entries. Polariser? UV Haze? Whilst that can work, this is crisp and clear ala DPC. The sun star burst flare is also typical and well controlled, which is my take on this challenge. Flare control.

Very clever. Typical flare but not from the lens in your hand :) I had a similar idea but in the end went with a more traditional shot.

Just been perusing the last dozen or so Free Studies and saw this.
Super shot and well deserved finish, Top 10 in a FS! Lucky you didn't get fried!

Wicked. I believe they are as unique as a fingerprint.
How do yo find the IQ on the Sigma 180mm? I have one and it is great but naturally heavy to hand hold. Any experience with the Sigma 150mm F2.8 EX APO DG HSM Macro version yet? At 895g it's slightly lighter by 50g (945g) so it's still quite a chunk of glass. Would you switch if you had the chance? Regards, Harvey.
