Hanging onby EnlightenedComment: Whilst I like the textures and tones I can't help thinking it would make me feel happier if they weren't drooping and dead/dreary looking by flipping the horizontal? Naturally the snow cap would be wrong (to you) but to me it would look like it's resting in the snow. It's hard to explain this feeling I have. |

1 - Bus Commutersby tvsometimeComment: Pretty neat. The (real) lady ahead of the queue has finally made it through and shrugged off the statue-like attire of her followers... |

Old Glass..by thrumyiisComment: As soon as I read "Rosella" I knew you were from Aus!
I recall going to old dumps and searching with my family for bottles there in the 70's. Not the smelly dumps, the old mining town dumps long forgotten by modern dwellers.
I like the unusual mix of rusted cutting blade and cow skin BG. Perhaps a bit more light through the bottles and an increase in tonality/contrast overall would make it "pop" more. Playing with the light on the writing relief of the bottles would make that stand out and be the main subject of interest. The other items, disc and pelt vie for attention with the bottles. |

are-you-thereby mariucaComment: I'm not sure what to make of your image. Surely the children will be scared of the bear shadow and perhaps it is meant to be a faded washed out grey to represent a child's dream or nightmare!? Blame my childhood for not being sensitised to fairy tales and the Brothers Grimm! |

_MG_5660by sulamkComment: Lovely BiF, showing the hovering intent look of the bird after prey. BG is perfect for this with little distractions but enough detail to show an "In the wild" shot. Yes the "noise" is distracting but as Sandy mentioned it's environment aka mist. I'll have a go at reducing it in Post if I may? :) I think the bird is too central on the horizontal (fine on the vertical) and I would have placed him/her a tad higher on the upper one third horizontal. That might have then also changed the orientation to portrait. Only seeing the original would allow me to make that call.
Overall great camera/lens control and patience to get the shot. Please post EXIF! (ISO S/S Aperture) |
