Awesome. I saw this on the BBC last week and knew someone would be in Michigan with a great photo op. But I never knew it'd be this good. Excellent capture. A ribbon's headed your way, deservedly.

Ahhh, right. I was thinking it was the Michigan lighthouse but it's Lake Erie near Cleveland. Regardless, it's a stunner.

edit: I'm back to make this a favorite. The gulls stopped in motion put it over the top it was already over. Should be blue.

Well it doesn't get sharper. The detail is stunning. The layers of feathers is a very nice take on this. Processing makes it seem slightly unnatural, but birds are weird anyway. Nice photo.

Great image. I'd guess HDR to get the detail in the bottom of the pier, but the waves are stop motion, so I'm interested in how you dod this. Cool shot regardless.

Quite interesting and I expect it to be a giant sticky on the wall or at least a mouse pad. I think a seed is germinating on the left but I'm not voting anyway so doesn't really matter. Cool shot.
