The Eye of Earthby keyzComment: Awesome. I'd say Yellowstone but to be honest I have no idea. Wonderful perspective to capture the texture of the crust, the colors of the minerals, the steam rising, and then even the hills in the distance and the sky. Wonderful photo. |

serenityby curtpetguyComment: Very pretty scene. Nice composition and very nicely exposed.
I don't entirely agree with the title as there's something about the sky that conveys motion and possibly even an impending storm, but that's just the feeling I get from the photo. Well done. |

Two Little Curlsby banmornComment: Very nice. I'm particularly drawn to this because I've got a new macro lens and my last free study entry was aiming for this, but fell far short and didn't even receive a comment. I love the abstract flower, the waves of smooth, textured colors and just the tiniest of intricate detail to transport you right into the middle of all of it. Nice one. |

Wakingby TomCubisComment: This has a great drowsy feel to it that is exactly what you were trying to convey. The king at his most vulnerable, before his coffee. Great image. |

intersectionby ubiqueComment: Fabulous composition. Bit of a puzzle, really. Through a window, I'm guessing, which would have some support beams or something to provide some of the natural framing. The symmetry with the van is great, and of course the person is essential. Wonderful how the leaves are lit as well.
The intersection of light and dark, diagonal and vertical planes, lives outside and in. Sweet. |
