I have mixed emotions about the fish eye warping at this angle, but it's a nice job of the daylight scene while still revealing the true time. Nice capture.

This is such a great shot, Richard. It's hard for me to understand how these shots even happen, to be honest, based on where I'm at. I'm imagining you very cold, for a very long time. Repeat that for 17 years and once you get lucky.

Regardless, it's a fantastic shot, and perfect for the challenge. Congrats on the HM.

It definitely is a "wow" photo. It's fantastic. Unfortunately however it doesn't really fit the theme of the challenge. I don't really see how negative space enhances the photo. In fact, I don't see any negative space at all. The folks here judge extremely harshly, so on top of all the technical and artistic things you've got to keep in mind, you also have to make sure your entry fits the challenge theme. It was obviously well liked, based on a lot of 7s, 8s, etc., but it's just off target. Had this been in a free study or, better yet, a night scene or bridge challenge, you're looking at a much better score.
