I said wow when I saw it but then I looked for the negative space and it wasn't there. Its a great shot and I know how you feel when you say you just had to put it out there -I've done the same my self in the past but I've learned to stop myself lately. Don't take the low points hard - it's a great shot but in the wrong challenge.

It definitely is a "wow" photo. It's fantastic. Unfortunately however it doesn't really fit the theme of the challenge. I don't really see how negative space enhances the photo. In fact, I don't see any negative space at all. The folks here judge extremely harshly, so on top of all the technical and artistic things you've got to keep in mind, you also have to make sure your entry fits the challenge theme. It was obviously well liked, based on a lot of 7s, 8s, etc., but it's just off target. Had this been in a free study or, better yet, a night scene or bridge challenge, you're looking at a much better score.

Beautiful image. I don't really see the negative space but the general lighting and composition are excellent.

Great lighting, there is lots of interest in this shot. Not so sure what is your subject and where your negative space is, but overall nicely done.

Lovely, but the "wow" of the photo seems to come from the bridge and the lights and scenery...I barely notice the sky, which is what I think was intended to be the negative space, right? It's more just background, I think. It's a very pretty shot though.

Although this is a truly gorgeous image, I'm not seeing how it could possibly pass as having negative space. That being said, it will probably end up on the front page, even though I think it's not the right challenge for this image.
