As a westerner, I am left wondering what these colors have to do with faith. I feel the story is left untold. That being said, the colors do pop and stand out well from the rest of the scene.

I feel the color of the border draws my eye outward from the focal point of the photo to the edges taking me away from what I ought to be looking at. It is a distraction. That being said, the lighting is wonderful on the flower and the yellow stamen or pistols (whichever) really pop! It's kind of wierd about the blueish chromatic aberation around the edges. This being advanced it could have been dealt with in post.

The desaturated image makes a great image. This image is all about the softness and emotion (love, sultry, seduction, sadness, something to that effect). The red lips even play into that emotive feeling. But in a burst of color challenge, I think it was a poor choice to enter.
