For whatever reason, the green tone works here. Neat how it changes tonality from the middle of the frame outward, getting more blue.

I think you got great color with this shot. It may be a trick of the eye but I am seeing a slightly leftward leaning horizon here... When I scroll the horizon to the top of the browser window it proves to be true by less than a degree. I also think this isn't quite sharp enough due to either camera shake or focus slightly off.

Your use of DoF, Placement in the frame and the B&W tones really helped to create that lonely feeling. The flower bowing down helped to generate that mood too.

Wow! Thanks for showing your original shot. I love how you took that and really put the focal point on the blue bird and the tea pot! For me, that would have been a throw away, but you really saw the picture within the picture! Nicely done!
