An interesting composition. Lovely exposure, overall softness, and light on the damp sand. The type of shell and its position feels slightly contrived, and for me that is the antithesis of most of Ben's images. But overall a pleasing image.

A long cello lesson

Ha! Funny thing, I am voting on this challenge when I should be preparing for my upcoming cello lesson! I find this interesting. I like the light coming in from the side, and the head turned away. Those plus the sheet music on the stand provide a left to right flow across the image. But the position of the cello seems really unnatural. I don't recall seeing many ?any players holding their cello like this, even during periods when they are not playing, and it's difficult not to let that affect my reaction to the image. Overall, it's an evocative picture. I like the soft feel and the slight graininess.

This is lovely. Great idea and execution. Ever since physics classes years ago I've been fascinated by the patterns formed when there is interference from multiple waves (eg light, water ... whatever) and this sort of reminds me of that..
