As you noted, we both shot water line access covers. I went bright and contrasty and you went dark and moody! A wonderful illustration of the "art" of photography..

I love the light and all the details on the gloves. They really make this picture "pop" and provide a focus, an "anchor" almost, and form the base of a series of triangles topped by his walkie/talkie, then his face and helmet. Wonderful capture, DOF and processing.

Love the colors and shapes. I'm curious why you chose such a shallow DOF, as I find the out of focus areas distracting, perhaps because the bright yellow draws my eye to those areas. Interestingly, my reaction to this issue varies by how close I am to my monitor. When I move further away than my usual position it does not bother me as much. Going to bump this!
