I hope this is doing well Johanna. It's a luscious shot, full of great textures and colors, as well as being a wonderfully unusual portrait.

WOW! Amazing. Is this the same storm system that led to the unusual hailstones, I wonder?

Wonderful sense of place, but I'm curious why you chose to focus on the top step. The textures on the cobble stones at that spot are lovely, but not enough to carry the picture IMO.

Lovely tones, leading line of the valley, winding road on the right. It's hard to capture the majesty of this type of scene at 800 pixels but the detail in the main rock feature on the left carries this image. Nice!

I like this capture of buildings and holiday lights, and how my eye gets drawn into the scene by the leading line of the road, but to my eyes it is over processed, and over-sharpened to the point that it looks unnatural. But the lovely clock and winter scene brings the Rupert Brooke line to mind: Stands the .. clock at ten to three? And is there honey still for tea?

I, for one, really enjoy these sort of "industrial" shots. In particular I love how the power lines follow the building tops in the left half of the image, and how the tones in the clouds mirror the industrial landscape below.

Perfect depth of focus and composition. Lovely soft spruce needles merging into the pattern of feathers on the bird's breast, and these giving way to tack sharp detail on the eye and beak. Great complementary colors as well. This is just lovely.
