I recognize this as Yosemite's Horsetail Fall lit at sunset from other photos and know that this only occurs in February, but if I didn't, and only gave this a quick glance I might not find this image as interesting. It took me time to appreciate it.

I can hear "How's that", even now, echoing down the years !! Nice action shot with a relatively low POV. Great to catch all that action, the bails mid air, the young man airborne. But the image does not seem to be horizontal, which is a shame.

I played cricket at school many years ago and vaguely recall that the bat or some part of the body has to be actually "grounded" inside the crease before the bails fall in order to be "not out", so I'm guessing this young man was "out".!

Sunrise on Mt. Tom

Great light on the mountain and lovely to have that bit of Mt. Tom reflected in the water. However, I find the lower third of the image rather uninteresting. The stream there is less interesting and the light on the grass is really flat. I'm trying to figure out if you used tone mapping on this..?

winter warming glow

I like the unusual pattern the sky, but on my monitor the other areas are a bit too dark to hold my interest, although the glow of light across the fields is attractive. Based on the size and shapes of the fields I'm guessing this is somewhere in the UK. I know a lot of areas got snow this winter.
