I lke the idea here, but it doesn't really work. The hearth separates the photo into two separate images and nothing really ties them together. The light from the right rear overpowers the light from the fire for shadow direction, which further separates the elements. An additional light on the left would lighten the shadow, and lowering the camera, maybe even putting it on the floor, might help tie the elements together better.
