Blackoutby mahogneComment: Blackouts aren't specific to a season, and candles aren't always used for blackouts. But this is a beautiful candle photo. The colors are great, and I like the contrasting dark space to the right. |

Summer is Baseball Seasonby brentpaughComment: While baseball is synonomous with summer (at least in the U.S.), the stadium exists year-round so this photo doesn't represent summer as well as some of the other entries. But this photo is well done. The tree in the foreground adds a nice touch of color, and nicely frames the "Minute Maid Park" sign. |

The Fallby bcvieiraComment: No points for meeting the challenge with the non-season sense of fall, but this photo has a lot of impact. You've picked a nice subject for zoom-blur and executed it very well. |

Mellonby TellopazzoComment: Nice composition here. The white space above and below help the watermelon stand out and help emphasize its colors. It would be better if the entire subject was in focus and the shadows were eliminated (especially the ones in the corners). |

You Guessed Itby wigmanComment: No points for meeting the challenge with a non-season sense of spring, but I like your composition with the spring and its interesting shadow, and you've left enough space around it to keep it from being cramped. There is some sort of pixelation, but it doesn't look like the oversampling or compression artifacts so common in digital photos, and I kind of like the effect it gives to this image. I think it makes the photo a lot more interesting than just a sharp spring on a polished granite surface. Was it intentional? It is a bit distracting, perhaps slightly overdone, but it's hard to say. It looks great viewed a few feet back. |

A Captured Summer Momentby GolferDDSComment: The lighting helps bring out the texture of the petals, and the cropping helps focus attention on the butterfly. It seems a bit oversharpened, causing light lines to appear around the petals and butterfly. |

~Hot summer~by BlurryComment: Nice pose, and you've used just the right shutter speed to achieve the intended effect. |

Monarchs In Summerby LindaEComment: The focus is great and the butterflies are beautiful. I like the inclusion of the flowerless stems. The wide border is very distracting. |
