Framed Towers

The church is marvelous and the reflection is great. Unfortunately, the item on the right (I'm sorry, I can't even tell what it is) is distracting; I don't think it adds to the picture, only detracts. I'd be interested in seeing what it looks like cropped in a little from the left and cropped in significantly from the right. 5 as is, but I think it could have been as much as a 7 with a different crop.

I love the sky, but I think the composition of splitting the photo basically in half both halves less important. It might be stronger if you placed the horizon at the top 1/3. You'd still retain much of the interesting sky, but it would also give more importance to the creek.

Well done. I find haze shots difficult to do, and I really like your mountains. The foreground seems very muddy. Did you try shadows and highlights to try to gain some detail?

My first thought on this photo was: interesting. Second thought: extremely busy. I would have loved to see a shot from the beach with just a few of the beach umbrellas in the foreground and the ship in the distance. Strangely enough, the light pole in the foreground is very distracting. Surprises me, because it's not particularly glaring or anything, but it keeps drawing my eye.

Comment:
There are many times that I like an animal pushing the limits of the frame, but with the swan, I think it ended up looking squished.

In this photo the swan is by far the most interesting part. I love the set of his wings and the darker water with the reflection. Unfortunately, the rest pales in comparison and overwhelms the image. The sky is a large part of the photo, but doesn't hold any interest. It ends up centering the tree, which I think would have been better off not centered. Sorry, it just doesn't work, imo.

The photograph is done well enough, but there just isn't anything here to catch my interest, imo. Perhaps the addition of a person walking farther down the road would have given it a little more interest?

Love the sand, love the balloons, love the shadows, but I really wish it was zoomed in closer. I keep wanting to look closer and then realizing that I can't. I think it could have been an 8 closer, is a 6 as is...
