Blue Autumn by dahlinComment: This is really quite lovely. What a great idea! I like the little bits of red (or brick) breaking through. Although I find the red in the upper left corner a bit distracting. Doesn't make a bit of different in my vote, however. Just thinking out loud. -8- (voted earlier -- commenting now) |

"Chalk"mate by kellmak10Comment: Ok. Completely and totally, ridiculously amazing. Are these really and truly chalk? I was so impressed, I didn't notice, until my third viewing, that the game board was in chalk. Awesome!
(Would be difficult to play, however, too many colors! (or is it warm colors vs cool colors?) -8-

It all started with Chalk on the boardby RianBotesComment: Great idea and well executed. I'm not sure about the right side of the face being completely shadowed I think a small amount of detail would have been a little better. Doesn't make a bit of difference in my voting -- I was just thinking aloud. -8-

The Well Practiced Ballerina by njsabsComment: I can see why someone thinks the run in the stocking is distracting -- it is -- yet it's so perfect. It makes turns it from a regular (but nice) photograph into a great story. You and jbrobeson are right, however. The shoes should have been more worn. Not that it's a problem in this photo -- but just because, if the shoes were worn and there was a run in the stockings, you probably would have had a picture that was an instant classic.
beautifully done -- congrats on the ribbon! |
