Not sure what to do with this one... but a couple of things come to mind:

First, It would have been nice to cut down the highlights. Looks like maybe a window highlight on one side but a brighter spot on the other? Maybe finding a way of making the light source on the right not so harsh?

Also, for how much I love raspberries (and I really love raspberries!!) the hairs on the raspberries make it a little less appealing. (and I'm surprised by that. strange, but true.)

I like the dof. I'm curious what it would have looked like from a slightly lower pov.

I like the idea of b&w, but I think it hurts the shot. It almost looks like a baked potato...

When I read the title, it sounded so warm and wonderful, but it's not at all what I'm getting from the shot -- and I miss it. :(

I usually love negative space, but I don't think it helps this image, simply because of the size restrictions on DPC. I would have much rather seen this cropped portrait so the glass of jello could be bigger and I could explore it more. It looks like there's some wonderful colors and blends and bubbles to be discovered, that I'm not seeing because the subject is small. (But I have lousy eyes, so maybe that's just my problem, not others.)

Small thing: the lighting at the bottom of the glass seems overly bright for the low key nature of the shot. I would have liked to see it taken down to just a nice soft glow. -7- as is. I think it could have been an 8, possibly 9 shot.

I like the reflection of the cake on the handle of the fork. It would be fun to play with that a bit. I wonder what it would have looked like with the fork reversed and that reflection on the tines?

Nicely done. -8-

I like it -- and I like the idea. The bottom half seems a little heavy. Did you try cropping up from the bottom a bit more? Also the white reflection on the bottom and the glass ruins the lines a bit. -7-

It's the lighting on the arms that truly makes this shot. Beautifully done! Congrats on the top 10.
