I can also vouch for the fact that you were sitting on the bank right in front of it, and I was composing the letter to your husband about how you were eaten by a gator. (I was too chicken to tell him in person).

It's recorded at 226mm -- and definitely cropped in. It was handheld -- a little soft in places, so some extra sharpening applied.

The lens is extremely difficult to handhold at 600mm, but I'm getting a little more used to it, and I've had some successful handheld shots at that distance. I'm trying to use a tripod or a monopod with it, if possible.

Wish I could vote on this one. I think it's an excellent shot!! Is a little underexposed, so I would have brought it up a tad. But you and fish did a great job, imo.

Be a little careful with your processing -- it might be my scren, but there's a halo around the clock, head and arm that detracts from the scene.
