HalldorIngiby HalldorIngiComment: Lovely and evocative. I almost wish that the morning sunrise wasn't there. When I scroll it down it's even more mysterious. Just a thought, not a criticism. Beautifully done |

Paulby PaulComment: Strangely enough, I want a title for this one. (only strange, because I really don't care for titles. Many times I only look at them after the fact or if I want more information on the photo. I like a photo to stand by itself and not rely on a title. That being said, this one makes me curious without one, and leaves me a bit unsettled. Part of the pose seems melancholy and lonely, but the being up on the toes makes it look a little too contrived to be very emotional. I feel like I'm missing something, and I wanted the pieces of the puzzle filled in. 7 as is, a little more natural I think would have been higher. Still not quite sure... |

FocusPointby FocusPointComment: My initial reaction was that I didn't particularly like the old feel processing on this one. But as I looked more, I really liked the processing on the pieces. I like what it does to the background, and I like what it does to the flower. And it's even nice on the bee. I'm not quite sure why the pieces aren't coming together for the whole. The more I look at it, I'm wondering if it's simply because the lower left corner is quite dark in comparison. Many times the old photos loose a lot of contrast. I think if the lower left quadrant was lighter, it would come together as a gorgeous whole. |

giantmikeby giantmikeComment: Another one that seems close, but not quite right. The trees making the arch over the river -- especially with the reflection is so wonderful, I'm thinking if you would have cropped in from the left, or maybe better yet cropping in from the right, to really draw your eye to that part of the photo. When I look at that part, I see an enchanted waterway that I really want to take a kayak or canoe through to discover another world. But yet the rest of the photo seems to take away from that somehow. Maybe because the greens are bright and draw the eyes? I don't know, but it's so close... |

Yo_Spiffby Yo_SpiffComment: I figured it had to be a spiffy shot. :)
So I have mixed feelings on this one. I like it, but yet I'm finding it too static. I really wish there was a person in this, just off to the side, resting, or even partially off the page. My mom was into photography for awhile, and she said to always put a person in the photo, especially landscapes, etc. I thought she was crazy. But I've been seeing what she's said. It just seems like this could have gone from a static, nice shot, to something awesome. 6 as is. |

mitalapoby mitalapoComment: I really want to like this one. The top part is so wonderful. I love the railing and the face looking down, but as I scanned down, the bottom part of the photo just didn't stand up to the top. It's weird, I don't usually find photos that part almost mesmerizes me and the other part falls flat. Usually they flat part takes away from the other part and makes it just kind of "meh". It doesn't in this case. For some reason, the person really intrigues me. I'm rambling, I know, I just wanted to leave some feedback, even if it doesn't make sense. :) |

Catherine_Bby Catherine_BComment: Interesting pick. At first I wasn't sure about the bit of tree on the right. But the more I look at it, it makes sense when part of the light house is cropped. It finishes things off. If it's a rotating light, those are hard to catch! :) |
