Blurryby NobodyComment: Many definitely think blurry is a flaw. So then I'm trying to figure out if the flaw helps or hurts the photo. I think in the long run it helps this one. The feet are quite fascinating, the flowing behind her is great. The flow at the top is distracting. Would it be more interesting with part of the top cropped off?
I think this would have been less interesting without the flaw. I think you've made the shot more interesting. Overall 7. |

Your old life won't always fit you by vawendyComment: Originally posted by tanguera: Yes, selfies are really, really tough :) Love the lighting, Wendy. You did a great job with that. How did you light your back? |
two strobes -- one turned up more lighting the front, one behind me and to my left lighting the back. I had to adjust a lot in post processing because it was quite underexposed. |

The Duel by gyabanComment: Ok -- I already said it was spectacular. But how in the heck do you select around all of those hairs!! I got soooo frustrated working on the squirrel... |

An era long agoby JudiComment: Drat. I'm just not finding a flaw on this one. I assume the underexposure? But that is brilliant. Centered? That works. Looking away from camera? I love those types of shots. This just is very effective. Thinking a 7 because it just doesn't seem like there's a flaw. But since this is the first time thinking through how in the heck to vote on this one, may come back and bump it. |

Galactic aberrations (reflections in fish-eye)by SistoComment: Another one that I'm not sure what to do with. First glance is fascinating. The top shape is incredible, and so is the second one down. I'm wanting it to be brightened up a little, perhaps just upping the contrast? Just thinking out loud, because it really calls to me, yet something seems not quite right. 7 for the initial interest. Not 8 because it doesn't hold up as long. Will come back later to take another look. |
