Batgirl from Belowby cginoComment: I really like the unique perspective your situation set up, and your processing and border work fine. |

Number 5 - The Buffalo by KelliComment: Given that it looks as though your original was overexposed, I think your high-key approach works well. I like how with such a minimum of data, you can still get such a sense of the wispy nature of the fur. |

Old building rusticby MelethiaComment: I definitely prefer this version -- I think it fits the feel of the place much better.
I make all my B&W/duotones "by hand" so I don't know how much control that action gives you, but I think I'd have used a somewhat different "second" color ... not sure though If I'd go warmer or cooler -- I usually experiment a bit to see what works. |

Gay Head Cliffs (APAW-4)by PGerstComment: I don't think it's oversaturated, in fact, I'd be tempted to mask off the sea and sky and make them even a little more blue.
You definitely brought out the detail, and gave a different "feel" to the day. |

Oh my gosh, yes! (yes that it looks like two people kissing, not yes you're weird, lol)
I think this is magical Paul. Great work. Congrats?? |
Yes, thanks to both of you -- I saw it after it was pointed out; it's quite similar to the classic vase/faces optical illusion. |

Nikko Hydrant '05by Pug-HComment: Crop works well, and coloring/tone is fine for me -- the extra-white snow is not a distraction from the subject. |

Week 04by KenComment: I know a place which looks a bit like this ... an expression of the age-old conflict between civilization and the jungle -- perhaps what archeologists of the future will be excavating.
Post-processing really makes the plant colors pop, and brings out the varying textures.
Here's an old one of mine (not in this side challenge, though maybe it should be!) with a somewhat similar theme. |
