Third Reichby Ricky CleaveComment: This challenge took place before I joined. Certainly a case where photographer's notes would help.
Maybe you could go back and do some "illegal" edits to strengthen the illusion/allusion...especially since you went to so much trouble to take this. Message edited by author 2003-02-08 23:46:08. |

Open Mindedby lisaeComment: A very cool idea, which I also think could use some tweaks as others have suggested.
One technique I've used for helping composite images is to use a soft-edged mask (or feather the selection) before you copy the image you are transferring.
For the glowing kitty, you might try either using the burn tool on the fringe or (my preference) applying a tone curve to just the kitty's layer to soften that highlight a little.
I guess I don't mind the softness on the face -- I see it somewhat as a fancy frame for your smaller composition. |

ABC bubble-gumby justineComment: Hope you do better than when I tried a similar subject...you ARE more directly related to the challenge here! |

Roast, Grind, Brew and Enjoy!by DougPazComment: Don't think you needed the equipment in the back. Make it completely tech by removing the beans. I think by trying to show both versions of the progression at once you dilute some of the impact unnecessarily. I like the idea and exposure; might be worth trying it again (or trying a different frame if you have alternates). |

Before and Afterby teachme53Comment: Perhaps not as appetizing as a nice stack of wings ready to eat, but does take the "after" component further along its course towards heartburn and eventually coronary artery disease... |

un-PASTURE-izedby autoolComment: Wonderful scene I've seen many times since I was a baby (I'm a N. California native). I'm pretty sure those are Holsteins; the most popular breed of dairy cattle in California. These young cattle are "heifers" (not cows), and don't have large udders or begin to produce milk until they've become pregnant.
I agree more contrast might make a "prettier" picture, but as you have it is probably about how it "really" looked. Sorry it didn't finish higher. |
