Gull-ableby GeneralEComment: Thanks for your comments all. I was actually on the opposite dock, so I don't have the excuse of the boat's motion -- I blurred it all by myself. I was on autofocus and I'm pretty sure it picked the far background instead of the birds.
Also I had to crop pretty tight, so I may have lost some resolution/clarity there. There were two more birds on the rail to the left, but they had turned a little, so I abandoned the horizontal framing, which would have been a stronger composition, in favor of the vertical with fewer (but better aligned) birds. I tried a little more sharpening but it resulted in an unacceptable amount of fringing. |
