Tainted Loveby t_onlineComment: Needs a paraphrase of the movie warning: This photo is rated "R" for textual situations. Well-done. |

Ouch, no serviceable parts inside! by graphicfunkComment: I knew something was bothering me ... I don't think the word "Ouch" in the title is necessary. Instead, you could phrase it exactly the way the warning stickers are phrased, and make an even a stronger connection (IMO) to the subject by calling it
No User-Serviceable Parts Inside
I have no suggestions on improving the photo though ... great work : ) Message edited by author 2004-12-23 10:55:19. |

I think there were some clock photos working along the same (unsuccessful) line ... I knew where this would end up. But for me, the door was opened when the challenge description included NO examples, but only the adjective "ethereal"
I didn't have tome to organize and try my other variation on this idea ... hands blurred as they wind up a ball of knitting yarn. |

You win the prize for correctly identifying the largest number of weaknesses : )
I have reasons/excuses for all of them which I won't bore you with.

First a new camera, then a bigger hard drive ... maybe all of you who actually liked the "out of the box" thinking can chip in to buy me a Kevlar vest ... |

Sun Downby moodvilleComment: "Just another (beautiful) sunset" photo. Especially interesting how the clouds at two elevations are striated almost at right angles -- there must be some wacky wind currents up there! Fine job. |

Piñata!by GeneralEComment: Originally posted by strags: A good take on the challenge, but a little "snapshot"-ish. |
Not a little, but a lot -- still a "photojournalistic snapshot" of something in the process of being broken.
I should have tried it in B&W to deal with the color-cast issues; I'm not good at color adjustment anyway, and it was shot in very dim light from a variety of industrial and decorative sources. I'm surprised I got it as in-focus as it is. |

Chessby BullpupComment: I was wondering if anyone would try this one -- I thought about it and passed. A fine job. |
