Kick The Habitby ace flymanComment: If you can achieve over a four-second hang time I know a Bay Area football team that could use you ... |

Change of Fencesby dsidwellComment: Interesting ... I have a "divided" photo I took today, and although it has virtually nothing else in common with this shot, I was reminded of it immediately when I saw this.
Looks cool, but too cold for me -- just as glad you were there to capture the moment for us! |

I'm Shocked, Simply SHOCKED!by GeneralEComment: Originally posted by bear_music: I take it the face is NOT the man in the moon, but the 3 circles? If so, it's not really "facing off" for me. The image usffers from oversharpening on the moon, I think. The haloing is not good here. But it's an appealing image regardless. |
Dang it -- I didn't even see "that" face until looking at the thumbnail for the fourth time tonight. Thanks! |

I'm Shocked, Simply SHOCKED!by GeneralEComment: Originally posted by Artan: The sharpening arounf the moon, gives the impression that it has been gat out from another Photograph. This could be have been avoided withn less sharpening.
If spot editing were alowed you could clone out this halo |
I more or less left the ugly effect in place to see if it would garner a DQ request (took a few hours, maybe!) and if the validation would have a significant effect on the score (not that much -- that's good!).
It would have been possible to get rid of the holoing, but as usual I didn't really have time to do a good job of it, so I tried to leave it looking deliberate.
This had to be a hand-held shot at long zoom since to achieve the composition I had to be between two lanes of a major boulevard during rush hour -- I figure I must have had 15-30 seconds easy : )
Maybe I'll post a picture of the "set-up" for this shot ... |
