I really like the color range ... I agree that it would have been great if that top leaf(?) sticking up had been in the focal plane -- the rest of the blur looks fine to me

I like the interplay of colored threads in textile shots like this. I can crochet (a bit) and I used to do macrame, but I'm lousy at knitting ... :-)

Thanks for posting the "how-to" notes ... the focus-stacking worked very well!

My only "complaints" are that I think the Martian atmosphere *may* be too thin to make a fireball//meteor as you show, and I'd have tried to give the sand a more distinct reddish cast.

Curious how you got/made the sky ...
