Water Birdby John SniderComment: The simplicity of this shot is what makes it an outstanding image. So well done! |

Little Angelby CorwynComment: I have read through all of the comments you have received on this photo so far and i have to agree with most of them. This little girl is beyond precious with her gorgeous smile and beautiful dark cursl. Its very unfortunate about the lighting though. Such a simple thing can ruin an otherwise perfect photo. Something as simple as a white card can be used as a reflector, to reflect some light back onto her face. This would all but eliminate the dark shadows and open up her face.
I like the soft focus very much here. Beautiful attempt, and even with the flaws in the lighting, sure to be a favorite photo to her family. |

bo&rodyby messerschmittComment: Greetings from the Critique Club.
This is a charming photograph and one the parents are sure to treasure. I love the dark sepia effect here, it compliments the "dress-up" style of the childrens clothing. The dark hat seems to blend into the background a little bit too much and I wonder if that could be corrected in Photoshop. All in all, this is a wonderful look into childhood, and children. I love how you have captured a precious moment for all time. |

(1) COMPOSITION (CONTENT) Well composed. You have a beautiful model and she has a wonderful expression. I like th position of her eyes relative to the rest of the image..
(2) BACKGROUND There are a few little blue bits in the background that are distracting to me. I am not sure what they are, but its the first thing mthat drew my eye.
(3) CAMERA WORK ,TECHNICAL Exposure is good, but not great. I wish (and I know you had no control over this) that there had been an additional light shiningh on her hair. As it is, her hair is beginning to blend in with the background. I like
(4) DIGITAL PROCESSING ,TECHNICAL Some of the problems with this image could have been cleaned up in Photoshop.
(5)MEETING THE CHALLENGE This photo does a very good job of meeting the challenge.
(6) MY OPINION ON THE PHOTO I really like this photo alot. The slightest bit of softness is extremely flattering. |

(1) COMPOSITION (CONTENT) Not very well composed. Its obvious that not alot of though went into the making of this photo.
(2) BACKGROUND The background is probably the best part of this image. The texture of the bricks is nice
(3) CAMERA WORK ,TECHNICAL Exposure is good, but not great. The shadow from the flash is distracting.
(4) DIGITAL PROCESSING ,TECHNICAL
Some of the problems with this image could have been cleaned up in Photoshop, but not all of them. You may have taken this photo at the last minute, but I get the feeling that it was sort of rushed.
(5)MEETING THE CHALLENGE This photo meet the challenge, but did you actually think it might score well?.
(6) MY OPINION ON THE PHOTO This is more of a snap shot than a fine art photograph. While snapshots do have their own place, and can be lots of fun for those directly participating (shooter and model) you are seriously wasting peoples time on a website like this one.. |
