Spring Crocusby thatsanicepictureComment: A watercolor effect that I appreciate very much. Subtle tones and shades enhance the image and the very slight soft focus is very effective. Well done. |

Stand of the treesby sranneyComment: Too much low light - could have been much better as an effective night shot with a little slower shutter speed. Then again, that would have created a different problem with the lighting in the background. A very difficult shot even for an expert with all the technical tools available from the camera to post processing. |

Harbinger of Spring...by NikonJebComment: Another frame problem, although this isnt as obvious as the other image that had one. I don't mind frames - in fact, they can add significantly to any given image if handled properly. Transparent frames as part of the image are, to me anyway, a major flaw because it doesn't add, but subtracts from the subject. |

Morning Dewby Gordon_1Comment: This would have worked better if the DOF were reversed with the central focus being the tip of the leaf being the central subject gently fading into the background. |

chrysanthemumby naomikComment: The frame is a negative for me - its meaningless in context and does nothing for the eye to help appreciate the image. Its a major flaw for me and in my opinion lowers what otherwise would have been a 9 to a 6 in terms of visual impact. Technically it is a wonderful blend of detail and color - the frame had influenced my opinion significantly. Sorry. |

Point Shootby kmp238Comment: Not a perfect image, but close. The little minor nagging issues like the pollens which look like flawed pixels for instance and the slight out of focus appearance on the lower left. On the other hand, it has significant beauty in and of itself and I feel should be rated that way. |

Veinsby LMA128Comment: Interesting, but overly busy and just right on the edge of being focused. The green bleed over into the branch stems are a negative - it's overly green if you will. |

Anticipationby paynekjComment: Simple, elegant, minimalist with incredible impact and precise, yet subtle detail. A wonderful still life. Well done. |

Dew drops by IreneMComment: Arrrgh - I give up. Another top contender - if I see another, I'm just not going to comment. :>) Just give it a ten. |
