Interesting coloration, did you turn up the red value (maybe a few degrees too much)? This might be a dangerous aspect of this sport, but still, it is a sport, so I can't quite say this is really dispair. Fantastic timing! 5 Swash

Really cute shot! Very good focus and color. Cropping works well enough. I, too did a humorous dispair shot. I would imagine your photo is doing about as well as mine (I didn't expect to win or even place well, but I did have fun with it, I hope you can say the same.) 5 Swash

Dispair well portrayed. Very emotive picture. Good contrast. Background works, but adds a little too much clutter. 9 Swash

Focus seems very good, framing is O.K., not that I can think of a suggestion for a better crop. Lighting seems a little dim, but the clear glass chess pieces probably wouldn't have looked as good in a brighter lighting. Non-Scoring NIT - The frosted king died about 5 moves ago, this is a bit overkill. 5 Swash

Well taken and funny too! Very sharp image, color seems a little off, but I could be wrong. It\'s a little flipant for this challenge, but I did a humorous shot myself. The title is perfect! Score upgrade from 5 to 6. Swash

Extremely well taken photo. Some nits to think about - you are depicting a less fortunate person, right? Get a little grubby (clean hands and nails) and change clothes to something more worn (clothes look virtually new). {the devil is in the details!!!} Good contrast lighting. Score down grade (due to the details thing) from 9 to 8. (sorry, but I didn't notice the first time through). 8 Swash

Very sharp photo (except for the hand, I am assuming that was on purpose. Very emotive shot, challenge well met. Good contrasts. Is this real? 9 Swash

???? Are you referrng to the knot at the bottom center of the shot? While I think the tree is somewhat interesting, I don't see the challenge here. Focus is fair, framing - not really to my liking (parts chopped off, branches coming in from the bottom out of "thin air"). 4 Swash

Ehhh, more like a moderat snow-fall.... Focus seems indeteriminate - the snow was probably confusing the camera. Challenge - not much there either. 4 Swash

I have no idea what I'm looking at. It could be a label (as I see a price tag), but mostly it doesn't say much to me. As an artistic piece this might have some appeal, but as a photo, not much for me. The price tag/barcode seem to keep grabbing my attention. 4 Swash
