Very interesting shot. This shadow challenge created some difficult photos to suggest/comment. I think I would have liked seeing the flowers (I think they are red, maybe) and lose the magazine, no help. Very artsy, but dark. Photo 7 Creativity 7 Shadows 8 total 7

(Questions: Dead grass? Run out of color film? joke) Hide the arms (maybe with another shadow), even up the color of the grass (too pale in foreground) and crop your own shadow (at the bottom). A little less than really interesting, do something to create interest, reason to view again.

Overpowering red/pink! So much so, at first, I thought this was out of focus. Shadows, barely work. This might have been a good choice to make black and white, see the other rose shot in this challenge (it's black and white with two roses). See if you don't agree with me.

Pine Needles

Clearly there are shadows, what's the point? What interested you enough to take this photo? (Which leads to why should I want to see this photo.....) The needles in the lower right corner are overexposed, making this blue spruce look like a white pine. Try lowering your exposure level, the blacks will look blacker and the blue/green won't look so white. Photo 6 Creativity 4 Shadows 5 total 5

Nice, clear storytelling. Your score is going up with additional viewing. (I am personally biased against B&W). I have to ask, "was this shot that much worse in color?" I could be wrong, but the beach doesn't look like a surfing beach. (too calm, etc.) Pick, pick, pick.......Photo 8 Creativity 7 Shadows 7 total 7

Nice sunrays - If this were the challenge (visual effect) you would get a very high score. As a shadow entry, I am sorry, but you're pushing it.
