| 06/17/2002 07:18:00 PM | old train carby djbdjComment: Very interesting, a bit dry, but I like it more than most of the dryer photos in this challenge. Somehow, it interests me. (Must be the patterns) Photo 8 Creativity 7 Shadows 7 total 7 |
| 06/17/2002 06:08:00 PM | Maxby fsieradzkiComment: Very nice photo, beautiful cat. VERY MINOR NIT: unshadowed side of face, in the cheek area has a silvery tint. I get that too often myself with very white subjects in direct sunlight. No suggestions, just try fiddling with the camera settings until it goes away. (It is a very small, practically unnoticable defect.) Photo 9 Creativity 6 Shadows 7 total 8 (some may grade you down due to the shadow enhanses the cat and not the other way around) |
| 06/17/2002 06:22:00 PM | Locked Upby PeltzComment: Really nice photo technically. Shadow is the subject, focus is perfect, but what's the "interest"? Example: Paint one brick at the edge of your shadow black/grey in an attempt to trick the viewer that they are seeing something "extra" that is not really there, or keys shining in the sunshine in the shadow of the spokes. Get where I'm headed? Thrill me! Photo 9 Creativity 4 Shadows 6 total 6 |
| 06/17/2002 06:51:00 PM | "tantra"by sanandanComment: Very artsy, but I don't really like it that much. At the bottom, too much light/glare hurts the image, soften your light source or move it back, please. Photo 4 Creativity 5 Shadows 5 total 5 |
| 06/17/2002 06:48:00 PM | Sunset over legolandby tomlewis1980Comment: Pretty good shot. Try two things: Move your light source farther back, it will help make your shadows more distinct (clear edges) and if your camera has any zoom, move back and zoom in to your subject, it will increase your overall definition (make everything appear more clearly). | 06/21/2002 01:04:00 PM | Shadow Glassby darylbrownComment: Very nice. I might not be able to read the shadow Bud, but the Millennium certainly comes through. I like the dark to light shadow transition, but I think it goes to far in the light direction on the left side of this shot. Sometimes wish the site would matte our photos with other than white, but it would probably hurt other people's photos. I also like the stray accents, like the two in the middle of the shadow and the one at the bottom. Obviously serious attempt to meet the challenge. Thank you.
