Brown out problems? Very dark photo with hints of blue/grey color. Vaguely out of focus (were you going for a soft focus shot?) Many digital cameras (mine included) have problems with autofocus in darker conditions (IR focusing). Try aiming at a subject in better light that is about the same distance away, lock the focus (half shutter press) then swing back to your dark subject. It will be in focus. Also try a looonnnggger exposure with a tripod (will capture a brighter photo) Photo 3 Creativity 6 Shadows 6 total 4 (photo quality really hurt your score)

Nice, simple, but still a bit plain. Lighting is a bit too harsh on the right lower corner, (at the far corner of the surface, where the light actually hits.

Got all the camera/tripod, what happened to the top of your head? Were you going for something special? (Sorry, I don't see it) Great photo, good focus, etc, but lacks interest, reason to want to view again. (I heard this in a BAD movie - "Thrill Me!" {it was a police detective answering a phone})

Coconut Shadows

Mathmatics, you aren't going to win, but a very clever title. (I hope everybody understands your play on words) Technically great, title makes you think, which is a good thing, but overall the photo still lacks interest (in other words, a reason to want to go back an view this photo more than once)

Wow, powerful image, but ackward and VERY dark. Suggestion: Try a little (small amount) of front lighting, just enough to show some features of the doll/toy. Also, try an angle that has your subject covers the lamp bulb more (would look more like a hero in the moonlight, which is the effect I think you were going for.) Photo 4 (sorry, but wouldn't want this on my wall) Creativity 7 (great idea, but needs better execution) Shadows 5 (so dark!!!) total score 6

LIGHT & SHADOWS

This is a beautify mixed cloud, sky shot. Good colors and textures. I had initially scored you as a 6, but after reading the forum discussions on sillhouettes vs. shadows, you got lucky and go up. I am going to go out on a limb and say "sillhouettes are shadows from the 'other' side". (The sun rays at the bottom are a nifty effect, if possible, include them more, it adds extra zing to the shot.
