feeling blueby jimsappComment: Lovely shot. I really like these flowers (forget the name), from a straight on view, they resemble blue fireworks, plus that view is "flatter" so less need for a broader depth of field. Pretty good depth of field, petals pointing at us are a bit out of focus. 8 Swash |

Steam Powerby jmsetzlerComment: Really nice black and white. It's a bit dark in the upper left corner, but all in all, a very nice shot. 9 Swash |

Sailing Sunsetby AmandrewComment: Kinda looks more like sunset mooring, but that's O.K. Nice sunset and reflection. Most of the boats are really hard to see (dark). 7 Swash |

A Summer Guestby jimmspComment: Great shot! (Better than the one I didn't submit, whew!) Very good wings!!!! I like the blue kind better, but I couldn't get one to sit still, either. 10 Swash |

New York City 6 a.m.by daniellitaComment: Nice lighting, view in the deep background and the xmas lights are a nice touch. Vertical framing - I would have liked it better if there were more even shadowing at the top as well as the bottom of this photo. 7 Swash |

Chrysler at Sunsetby BeeGeeComment: Nice city scape. I would have been tempted to center on the building farthest away, but this turns out to be an interesting, atypical view. Nice job!! 8 Swash |

Plastic Fantastic Water Danceby daysezComment: This is so cool. Don't know how you did, don't really care, it's just cool. I really like the reds dancing all over. (It has horns) 9 Swash |

Long Shadowsby jaxxComment: Nice thought, but ouch. Sun washes out much of this shot. Kinda interesting sun rings, how did you avoid lens flares? 6 Swash |

Sweet Spotby AaronComment: Wow, this is the best of the wasp shots. Too bad the flower's pestal is in the way. Most of this week's shots had serious macro/depth of field problems. In your case, the wasp is more on a single plane, leaving it all in focus. I think I would have liked having more of the flower in focus, but in this case, the lack of depth isn't so bad for the subject. 8 Swash |
