Devils Tower National Monumentby SonifoComment: Very well done! Looks like a post card to me! I really like the accented patch of red ground. (Small nit - the watering thingy, damn!) Cool, dramatic sky. 9 Rob the Swash |

Garden of the Godsby K-RobComment: Very nice! Strong postcard feel. The sky isn't "perfect", but that's weather and this is pretty darn good anyway. 9 Rob the Swash |

Austin postcardby xertionComment: Very, very good shot! Focus is wonderful. Color seems very true. I'd have liked the building a bit brighter, but that's a nit. 9 Rob the Swash |

Windy City by pitsamanComment: I've seen this postcard! (kidding!) Very good shot. This is exactly what I would expect to see. Very well shot. The soft blur of the water is wonderfully satin. The skyline is very nice. (Small nit about alignment of the top of the fountain and the building background, but really!) 10 Rob the Swash |

Raesfelder Castleby kiwinessComment: Epitomy of postcard! Focus is very strong, color is wonderful, lighting and shading are very nice, intersting. You win, score upgrade from 9 to 10. Rob the Swash |

Longhorn Ranchby AnachroniteComment: Very good focus and color! The foreground cow seems just as strongly composed as the background one! The sand/dirt flooring isn't exactly a letter perfect setting, but that's a nit. 9 Rob the Swash (love the expression of the front most cow!) |

breakthroughby helgihelgiComment: This is a wildly well done photo! I'm having a hard time seeing this as a postcard, maybe a greeting card (sympathy - don't be down...sort of thing). The focus and composition are wonderful! 6 Rob the Swash |

turquoise and silverby camelotnorthComment: It's a pretty necklace and mostly well done. I agree with the masses that the focus in the lower section seems to be the weakest part of this shot. Difficult subject (justine is ever so correct!) and added difficulty for the steep angle (good for interest, bad for focus). I gave this an 8. Rob |

My Pi(e) are squared.by camelotnorthComment: Hi Betty, I didn't vote this challenge (can't be everywhere!). I think people take their food a little too seriously around here! The "R" should have just peeled off easily, no fuss, no muss, no fuzz. Cropping - minor mistake....Lighting - a tad harsh.
(I got murdered over a hair in my Merange shot....geez, like I was going to serve that colored mess??? I washed it down the drain, please!)
Another really good CC critique! |
