This shot is growing on me. Technically, I think this is fine work. Good focus, nice framing and has multiple textures well displayed. It is a bit "plain", but does have interest. Still, score unchanged, started 7.....Swash

Tree bark portion of shot has great texture, is well focused and overall nicely done. The other half of this shot, not so good. Sky overblown and glaring. Leaves are difficult to see, they offer nice color contrast, so I see why you included them, but I think this would have been better with that part cropped off. What's with the rope? Sorry, I talked myself down, started as a 6, now 5. Swash

How did you get the closest picture frames steady, but the rest blurred? I would suggest trying a single wall and maybe a tripod. 4 Swash

Wonderful! Where did you find the glove? I don't see anything bad to critique, so well done! I only gave four tens this week, this is one of them! 10 Swash

By your title, I assume you mean on the fellow's eye. No problem, no points deducted, although a polarizing filter might have helped. What is the skin looking stuff in the lower part of the pic? Overall glare on the lizard's skin is a touch heavy (more polarizing or diffused lighting). I really like the eyes! 9 Swash

I really like this one! Especially the colored foil. No critique as I find nothing to object about or question. I gave only four tens this week, this is one of them!

Very cool! Are the white dots bubbles? I really don't know how you did this, but I really like it! I can't wait until the week is over to find out more about this shot. I hope you got "wordy" in the details section! 9 Swash

Lisa, I am commenting after reading "the thread". I started this shot with a 7. Not knowing what it was, didn't really matter to me. This shot has everything I look for in B&W (dislike the concept, but it's too popular to bad mouth often), the shot has great contrast, sharp/clear focus. On that issue, it's VERY NICE. The outer covering shows good detail, so the texture is very obvious. On the humorous side, even with your "explaination", I still don't see the frog! Because this shot has been discussed at legnth, during the voting, I am going to NOT change my original scoring. You started with a 7, end with a 7. Swash

You have texture, no problem. I kinda get the "shy" aspect, but overall I still don't like this shot all that much, sorry, it must be me. The nearly blank, open space to the left is just present enough to make it a distraction. If you were going for the 1/3 rule thing, it's more like at 1/4 or 1/5th, so too far to the right. Finally, estitically, would I want this photo hanging on my wall? Sorry, no. 5 Swash

Last one I saw was in a silo configuration. The shot is too dark, with the center way tooo bright. I am surprised with that lighting, this turned out as viewable as it did. (that was a compliment, really!) Even so, 6 Swash
