| 08/15/2002 03:38:00 PM | One Dark Night...Then A New Challengeby jbolingComment: I would have preferred a somewhat closer view. The TP shows up well enough, but I want more, more I tell you! (old sense of humor) I'm sure the street looks pretty much that way, but the lightness of color pulls the view away from the trees. (((((???? did that make sense???)))) 7 Swash |

| 08/16/2002 02:57:00 PM | Breaking it inby rll07Comment: While I'm not crazy about the boy's shoulder and upper half of the ball being washed out, the rest of the image is great! I esp. like the ball in motion part. Nice touch. (were you throwing as well as picture taking? If so, impressive) While I had initially scored this as a 9, the glare is really bugging me. No, let it ride! Swash |
| 08/15/2002 07:44:00 PM | Tired of Waitingby kathleenmComment: Cool lighting/coloration on the "white" bear, the nose really stands out. Could you move the cropping down a couple inches, include all of the bear's foot (after all, you got most of it already, ha, ha). 7 Swash | Photographer found comment helpful. |
| 08/15/2002 03:30:00 PM | coming soonby ibewillComment: Finally, a building I can call new! I hope this was a cloudy day, will assume so, otherwise, isn't the sky supposed to be blue? Well taken shot. 7 Swash |
| 08/14/2002 07:34:00 PM | The New Local Currencyby chakkobboComment: Interesting coins, kinda reminds me of some french coins I have (the two tone color coins). Speaking of color (or is that colour?), are the coins really this dark bronzy color? I was expecting lighter outside rings, with darker inside rings (than what I see here). Very sharp w/ WIDE DOF, very, very nice. I am going to bump your score up one from 7 to 8 (for a euro, I'll go one more!) Swash |
| 08/14/2002 07:14:00 PM | Latest Vintageby kindonComment: You must have been going for a narrow depth of field, after all, we can see the first one really good. Even though you would have gotten "beat up" for it, I think having the 2nd or 3rd bottle being the ONE in focus might have been more dramatic, but probably not worth the risk. If I am all wrong about this DOF issue, subtract 2 points from your new score. Started as a 7, upping to an 8 after better evaluation, should drop to 6, if DOF guess wrong. 8 Swash (Confused, almost got myself there....) |
| 08/14/2002 04:42:00 PM | Tiny Toesby aguerraComment: If you have a very low end camera, please ignore this comment....The toes appear jagged. This part is for any cam....The bright section on the left seems to bright for the rest of the pic. I prefer a little more contrast for a black and white shot. 6 Swash |
| 08/16/2002 02:50:00 PM | Taking The Lead by autoolComment: This is just plain great. How did you do this? The sprout is very interesting and the beans really set it apart, nice touch. 9 Swash | Photographer found comment helpful. |
| 08/14/2002 03:27:00 PM | Computer Problemsby AquaGoddess12880Comment: If you have a really low end camera, please ignore the rest of my comments and you have my sympathies...... Very grainy image with no appearant "reason" for it. A lack of details in the smaller writing on the packaging emphasizes this. The white of the box disappears into your background, I would politely suggest using a different background. 5 Swash |
