That is such a cute idea! (Is it already dead?) Great shot, including the edge of the pot is a wonderful touch. Maybe a touch more light on the lobster, but not that bad! 9 Swash

This is a great idea! very creative. You probably got lots of framing comments, so I will pass there. Did you want to vary the lighting from light to dark, left to right? If so, skip the next sentence. Suggestion: two lights from either side, nice balance. Nice play on words on your title. 8 Swash

O.K. let's start with an apology. Sorry for using your photo as an example. I didn't see the pencil, nor did I have any clue that pencil derived from penis (but looking at the two word written, I should have guessed). That said, your new review:
Focus appears to be on the red/white striped bar. The straps and harness shadow the rest of the subject, suggest a flash to help there. 5 Swash

(The balding criminal?) Great title and shot. At first, I had a hard time with the two pencil reflections, then I followed the light backwards. I thought I had it, but no the logic fails..I'll just have to ask. Which pencils are reflecting against the background. Both look like silver tops, but there is no place where two silver tops appear in next to each other. Where DID the reflections come from. (At first I didn't like them, but the questions kept me intrigued.)
Nice work, great photo, good "take" on the challenge. Score bumped to 9. Swash

Not nice teasing the animals! It's a good shot, even though the lemurs arm and head are moving. 7 Swash

Good teeth! Great expression. I get hung up on seeing cat's ears. I have a hard time including them in my shots, but it "looks" too cropped. No points either way, it's just that sense of "completeness". 8 Swash

This is a great idea, well photographed and my only ten for the week. That said, you cheated! The "split" pencil didn't rip the paper out when the new one landed. (See detail of the left half of the pencel, where it meets the target) Smile, Swash

Very nice photo. Clever idea, too. The light seems a little better from the bottom than from the top, but very impressive photography. It's so good, you got a bump from 8 to 9! Swash

I was surprised at the number of garden pencils we got this week. I very much liked your idea of the weed. Did you have any hidden meaning in the erasures? Very funny. (just because other's thought of a similar idea, don't put up with any cliche comments...good job!) 8 Swash
