Good color - focus seem pretty good. Darn white shirt - very difficult in sunlight to not be blown out. Too bad he isn't looking more in our direction. (Then again, do you want the POLICE staring at you??) Background isn't horrible, but a bit mixed. 7 Rob the Swash

I don't think I'd want to stand out in front of those cars and taxis. Some colors seem very true, while others are too exaggerated (like yellow). The traffic cop's facial features aren't very distinct. 7 Rob the Swash

Sharp photo! I'm not sure that this coloration works here...see how the edge of the roof melts into the sky? Plus the shadow across the worker's face hides quite a bit. Challenge well met. 7 Rob the Swash

Crazy shot! Micro-photography looks really, really hard. The purple face is a cute touch. The blood cells seem unclear. Challenge-wise - it's a bit of a stretch, but it is an interesting idea (a.k.a. not fully buying into it). 6 Rob the Swash

So many issues, but I hate to be a complete downer......First, you cut both people by the crop, next I'm seeing a casino type lounge (more of a vacation scene) - an extended "break", third - the computer screens - nasty. Color and focus are pretty good, include the bartender in the pic and I'd even accept the challenge aspect. 5 Rob the Swash

This is my favorite picture of this challenge. The color and focus are exceptional. I'm not really crazy about the angle, but that's a nit/photographer's preference. I like how it seems the gloved handed woman is attempting to help. 10 Rob the Swash

Very nice coneflower shot! Good focus and color. Framing works well. While I'm O.K. with your mag title and all, IMO, were I doing a garden design mag, I'd be looking at a larger scene, this works for many other garden/flower mags, just seems a bit awkward with that title. 9 Rob the Swash
