Early glow over the ridgeby jnenvirComment: I've given this a low mark so I should justify it. Composition wise, it looks like it needs straightening. The hills are in silhouette and as such would probably look better with an upwards shift of the black point.
The clouds are very nice in shape but I am sure that with a bit of attention to the blue and red saturation levels, they could look a lot better. Also is that a naval dockyard in the foreground? If so I'd like to have seen more. |

An urban morningby HighNoonerComment: I've given a low mark so I should justify it.
I'm sure you knew when you submitted this shot that not everyone would like it and I hold my hand up to that. There looks to be some really interesting buildings out there and I'd have liked to have seen more of them.
The whole effect reminds me of an old Cokin 'Dreams' filter I had years ago coupled with way too much saturation in post-processing.
I'm sorry I don't like it, but having given a low score, you deserve an explanation. |

Cow at Duskby posthumousComment: I gave a low score so I should justify it. I think the black point has been set too high which makes the cow look flat, there is a good deal of noise in the face of the cow too. Also, there are some blown highlights in the upper branches of the tree. All correctable.
Composition-wise I think chopping off the top of the tree doesn't do a lot for the image. Goodness me I've said too much, and actually I'm not good enough myself to be so bold with my critique; but I do think I should justify my score.
Subject-wise, I think there would be quite a lot of potential here but a lot of it goes unrealised. |

Morning Has Brokenby ImagineerComment: I gave a low score so I should justify it.
Not badly executed but for me, the subject isn't the greatest and you would need some really creative editing to bring more interest to the scene. |

Misty morningby jellybellyComment: This would have been a really nice image but the banding around the sun ruins the effect. |

• T R I N I T Y •by Bear_MusicComment: Fantastic - I love the way you have included the Moon, Venus and Jupiter alignment in this shot - and with an interesting foreground too. I hope you ribbon. |

Miss Magneto never really enjoyed dinner dates. by PaulComment: I suppose the exposure kind of defined itself - I had left the ISO on 100 to minimise noise, I set the camera to +1.0ev to accommodate for the backlight and then set an aperture of f/11 to get enough DOF to ensure everything was sharp. At those settings a 1.6 sec exposure was what was needed for the exposure to be OK :-)
Thanks for the congrats.

Dew Dropsby ArtifactsComment: Just reviewing the last Bokeh challenge. This is a flat-out amazing shot. It should've ribboned. |
