It was shot specifically for this challenge a couple of days before the deadline, so I've no idea what you are moaning about. |

A particular style by PaulComment: Originally posted by aliqui: I loved this at first, but then because I liked it so much, I kept looking. What's going on with the big circles? There's a couple on the background on the right side of the photo and another couple going across his right bicep/shoulder just under the coat. They're perfectly round at least in part, so they seem like something that may have been done in post? A dodge/burn brush perhaps? |
I don't see them on any of my monitors but I imagine they are related to my use of control points in Color Efex Pro. Removal control points from the detail extracted filter I'd have applied to his black top to bring that out - to control the filter effect bleed beyond his top.
This will have occurred because of the similarity in hue and luminosity between the background and the top.
Edit - I do see them on my iPad Pro screen. Message edited by author 2015-12-12 17:52:18. |

Mineby vawendyComment: Amazing judgement in the luminosity of the body; I love how it can just, and only just, be seen. |

Dismal by P-A-U-LComment: This is unbelievably good. Staged? Not staged? Either possibility boggles the mind. Perfectly brilliant.
One of the best photos of its genre I've ever seen. |
